Exodus 3:5 says, Take off your sandals for the place where you are standing is holy ground. Adapted from the NIV study Bible foot note, "holiness involves being consecrated to the Lord's service and being separated from the commonplace."
This is relevant because since I belong to God, I am anything but common. I need to remember this whenever I am struggling with trying to fit in to the crowd. Being part of a crowd is easy: I just blend in. However, I am called to serve God, not man. This requires me to step out of what is comfortable and go with God.
Also, Exodus 3:14 states I AM WHO I AM. This is the name God wishes to be known and also expresses His character as the dependable and faithful God who desires the trust of His people.
I know I am to trust in God at all times even when I'm unsure of where He is leading me.
